2023 Fiji Sugarcane Rainfall Outlook Workshop

The Fiji Meteorological Service facilitated a Sugarcane Rainfall Outlook Workshop.

The initiative was part of a six-days long workshop organized by the Fiji Meteorological Service and the Sugar Research Institute of Fiji(SRIF) in partnership with the Australian Government and New Zealand Government funded Climate and Oceans Support Program in the Pacific.

The aim of the workshop was to meet with Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited(FSC) sector assistants, field officers, farm advisors and sugarcane farmers to gauge feedback on the climate outlook products issued by the Fiji Meteorological Service on a monthly and weekly basis to further improve service provision for the sugar industry stakeholders.
